Srini’s whispers: Music – the easiest way to calm down our nerves ( Srini’s scribbling) In this dynamic life of a mixed bag containing joys and sorrows ,happiness and upsets, expected and unexpected happenings, plusses and minuses ,all of us tend to get emotionally stressed to the limits and most of the times we may have to” push the envelope “ to meet the requirements. This will have an indelible effect on our health leading to more stress which will suppress our enthusiasm to a state of ennui. If this continues ,this will lead to breakdown of our mental faculty. Meditation helps to overcome this agony. Walking, doing exercise also help in some way. But the easiest way to relax and calm down our nerves is singing or at-least listening to soothing tunes ,melodies. Most of us prefer the latter, which is listening to good music .This should form part of our every- day routine. The effect of listening to good music is to be experienced to believe it. So effective it is. I regularly listen to my collections of lovely music and it is doing lots of good to me .It calms down our over worked mind and nerves and it allows us to have a relaxed faculty which will make our lives enjoyable and worthy. Bairavi,Kalyani,Thodi,Mohanam,Malkauns,Malhar,Banduvarali,Boopalam,Neelambari ,Ganada are in this category, to name a few. Many more will be there and I am a nobody in this. I like music, that’s all.
