St. Anthony counsels us that As you have confessed, so you must also mend your ways. Many people confess their sins but do not mend their ways. The true penitent is at all times, where he goes, determined not to fall back into sin. St. Anthony of Padua, marvel of penance, help us to have recourse to the Sacrament of Reconciliation, whom you called the door to Paradise, because through confession the penitent is brought in to kiss the feet, the hands, the face of the Heavenly Father.
