**St. Kierans Well Fun Facts** Sir William Wilde describes it “As perhaps the most beautiful holy well in Ireland shadowed by a hoary Ash Tree of surpassing size and beauty” through research Betty Newman-Maguire was able to establish that it fell down in about 1910. Today a small multi stemmed Ash Tree grows over the well and a Hawthorn Rag Tree is on the sloping bank a short distance from the well.
