St. Louis Rams: This isnt in the least bit surprising. Stan is a business man. Besides, how many people have I spoken with on or off the air about my thoughts of the Rams leaving St. Louis after my evening of having drinks with the Rams owners (minus Stan) after a game in 2011? Asher Benrubi can vouch for my prediction. I explained the entire ordeal to him on the air on 550am KTRS in 2012. The fact of the matter is this......I personally know a few people with the Rams organization. After a few glasses of truth serum at a charity event, one of them told me that theyve been looking at houses in LA and cant believe how expensive they are. I asked Why would you be looking for a house in LA? .......Dead silence. I love the Rams. I personally hope that theyll stay, but I also understand business and why they would leave. How we handle the team leaving town would be a clear indication of how other teams will perceive St Louis while trying to make a decision to move here or not. We can act like spoiled brats and stomp our feet like children in Toys R Us or we could part amicably and capture the attention of another franchise. Theyre not gone yet, but after hearing how well the Rams were received while playing in San Diego this season....its pretty much an open and closed case. The numbers dont lie. When referring to a man like Stan Kroenke and business.....well....he has every intention of doing whats economically best for his employees, players, family, business partners and families of his employees. The Rams are a business. Its his life, his business and his team. He can do whatever he wants to do with them....and he will. If Stanley Kroenke takes them away from St. Louis Ill be deeply disappointed, but Ill also completely understand...because I understand business.
