St. Marys Police Department Police Consolidation Update: In a unanimous vote, St. Marys City Council voted to dismiss any effort to consolidate/contract the St. Marys Police Department services to St. Marys citizens with the Camden County Sheriffs Office, Camden County GA. Although the consolidation is behind us, we will continue to work with Sheriff Proctor and his department in efforts to maximize both of our services to our citizens. We are looking forward to continuing an already great partnership that has been created with the Sheriffs Office. Citizens of St. Marys, we Thank You for your support during this evaluation and examination time. There was a tremendous outpouring of support from our citizens when this effort began, but what this study showed us is that you the citizens have two great organization working for you already and there is no need to change that! The St. Marys Police Department remains at your service with Honor, Integrity, Respect, and Courage.
