St. Patricks Day Fundraising Ideas: Count Your Lucky Clovers - This is a fun and simple fundraiser for a team to take on together or you could try it as an individual fundraiser this month. Fill a jar with candy four-leaf clovers and put it on display in a prominent area in your school or business. Ask folks to guess how many pieces of candy are in the jar. Every chance to guess requires a $0.50 or $1.00 donation. The person who is closest wins a prize! St. Patrick’s Day Party with a Purpose – Have a Relay Team host a St. Patrick’s Day themed Party with a Purpose. It could be at one of their homes, at a local church fellowship hall, or any other open location. Come up with an a cute invitation! Make sure to include the Mayor, City Councilmen, Sponsors, etc. on your invite list. Look for different places around town to donate finger foods for your event, and ask around for a good local band who will donate their time. Create a fun environment by decorating your location in all green with St. Patrick’s Day decorations. Okay, you get the idea….Set up a table at the entrance of the location where people can make donations for coming to your event! Call it your “Pot of Gold!” Don’t set a certain price to come….People will normally be more generous if you just ask for a donation! A group in Florence, Alabama did this fundraiser and raised over $3,000!! It’s a fun night for all A Buck for Luck – For the month of March, ask a local restaurant or business to sell “Green Bucks” for a $1 donation. Similar to Moon’s and Star’s, they can write their name on the buck and the restaurant/business can hang them around their store! If you don’t like the “Bucks,” you could do Shamrock’s or even Gold Coins instead! Shamrock Dash - Host a St. Patrick’s Day 5K/Fun Walk. Encourage everyone to wear green and even have a “Leprechaun” contest. Other runners and walkers can make donations to the person who is dressed up as the best leprechaun! On top of giving out the medals for the 5K at the end, have a special medal for the best dressed Leprechaun
