Stacy Swimp Bless The Lord! People are always saying God bless America, but America needs to bless to Bless God. God has blessed us already, more than any nation in the world!- Elder Jessie Todd, New Beginnings Ministry, Flint, Michigan Spoke to Elder Todd this morning in what was an awesome fellowship. He shared the above stated words, which I had to share with you, my friends. Profound! In Psalm 103, the writer says: Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name!- Psalm 103:1 In the Hebrew and Aramaic dictionary, the word bless, in this context, means: to kneel down (as an act of adoration); to congratulate Elder Todds words are indeed deeply rooted in the Word of God. Hence, he is spot on! America has become like unto a spoiled child. We have taken Gods grace towards our Republic for granted and have now allowed wickedness in high places to turn this nation against God. Rather than crying for God to bless our nation, we need to humble ourselves, blessing God (kneeling before Him in adoration), and repent of our rebellion to God, that He might heal our land. If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.- II Chronicles 7:14 It is indeed true that, if the Lord never does another thing for America, He has already done enough! Bless the Lord today!!
