Staff made the following comments about this animal: A volunteer writes: I can picture Herman well cared for and loved.. What a difference it would make. Herman is indeed a big boy whose coat was once snow white. His eyes are golden and I like the start of a smile on his face. I doubt he was a pampered pet but at least he looks well nourished and healthy. He was quite aloof and even scared when we first met, the tail between his legs as he was walking. He moved with caution then more assured as time went by. He eliminated as we left the building. He became animated in a nice way when he saw the staff who received him when he arrived at the care center. Herman adopts a dominant stance when he meets other dogs. He does respond to my warning.. We need to be courteous with other pooches. He sits and stays on command and even poses for the pictures. Our relationship was quite "unremarkable" until Herman plumped himself suddenly on my lap, slapping my face with his big tongue... He now wanted hugs and caresses. Well, you never know. There are so many nice dogs at the care center and it seems that Herman could be a nice forever companion. Come, meet him and take him home.
