Stage Combat Master David S. Leong will speak at NH Technical Insititue, Concord, NH in the Library on Thursday April 17 at 7 PM as part of the Wings of Knowledge program. Nationally renowned Fight Master and award-winning teacher David S. Leong grew up on a steady TV diet of Robin Hood, Superman, and Zorro. His favorite toys were the bow and arrow, knife and gun, sword and cape. David went on to train with Errol Flynns sword master and rose to become one of the premiere Broadway fight choreographers today. Davids fight choreography and action sequences have been seen in over 300 plays and musicals from New York City to Londons West End. His fight choreography can now be seen on Broadway in the courtroom drama A Time to Kill based on the best selling novel by Tom Grisham. Upcoming projects include choreographing Kathleen Turner in Mother Courage and Her Children at Arena Stage and staging a sea battle and shipwreck for the upcoming Broadway musical Amazing Grace. Over the past 30 years, David has staged dozens of notable TV, film and theatre actors including Christopher Plummer, Hilary Swank, Sigourney Weaver, Don Cheadle, Kevin Spacey, Christopher Walken and many more. Through a combination of amusing anecdotes, poignant memories, and shocking stories, David shares his insights on how to go beyond good to find your best.
