Stamper Camper Chronicle Up Coming Events September 19- School Dance 5:30-7:30. September 25- Picture Day. What We Are Learning Guided Reading- We will be reading Diary of a Spider. The vocabulary words are: rotten, sticky, insects, scare, judge, screaming, dangerous, and breeze. We will be working on retelling in sequence 2.RL.2.1. We will also be working on conclusions and predictions 2.RL.2.4. Word Wall- We will be working on the -ph hunk and chunk as well as hard g, soft g, long e, long u, and long o words. This week’s list will have transfer spelling words (words that can be made from the same word family). Don’t forget to do the homework that goes with the spelling list. (Standards 2.W.6.2c(a) (1) Sight Word Spelling and Vowels and Blends). Language Arts- Throughout the trimester we will be working on narrative writing 2.W.3.3. We will select an animal that we know a lot about and write our own Diary of a _________. For grammar we will be learning about types of nouns. Math- We are going back to first grade for a refresher course on number bonds and how to use them in adding and subtracting them. This will help us prepare for adding and subtracting to 1,000.
