Standing in a very long check out isle, at a common big box store, when I hear the young twits behind me comment, they should have a military only express lane at all stores. Isnt this a military town? You can tell they are getting impatient, and making snide remarks about the size/contents of my wifes shopping buggy, when I turn around and start a conversation with them. I ask them about their military careers and gather they have been out of technical training all of three weeks. Very important guys on a mission here! They continue with nothing but rudeness and snide comments. As my wife is paying for our goods, I decided on a whim to pull out my 0-6 retiree card and tell them I am going to talk to their group commander, to have a word with his new troops on humility. Truth is, I didnt retire here, and I sure as heck dont know their commander.
