Standing in that Gap is Jesus, who has thrown down his cross as the bridge from the world of darkness into the world of light and freedom, truth and love. For when we were yet unloved, he loved us. Before we could be chosen, he chose us. When we were broke and damaged, feeding on bitterness and blame, he made us whole and showed us how to feast on forgiveness. When we had no hope, he became our hope. When we were overbuys with the cares of this world, he interrupted us to show us what is eternal. When we were lost, he found us, rescued us , and showed us that his mercy and justice will prevail. When we were disappointed , he sustained us to show us how disappointments can brings u to appointments he ordained. When we were afraid, he gave us courage, stood with us and showed us how to illuminate the darkness with his light.
