Star Trek :Deep Space Nines Trials and Tribble-ations episode was filmed to honor the 30th anniversary of Star Trek and aired the same week that the original episode Trouble with Tribbles aired decades earlier. The episode allowed for many inside jokes including Bashirs recitation of McCoys famed Im a doctor, not a..... line when complaining that he was not a historian. The script also included a comment on the fact that Klingons of the time did not have forehead ridges and provided an explanation for the shower of tribbles that famously fell on Kirks head, revealing that Sisko and Dax were tossing them out of the storage compartment while searching for a bomb.
