Start thinking today about your martial arts goals for 2015! Set - TopicsExpress

Start thinking today about your martial arts goals for 2015! Set your goals and write them down! At the end of each month take 5 minutes to check your written goals and ask yourself (and write down) how you are doing toward those goals, what steps you have/havent taken, and what steps you plan to take moving forward. The written monthly check up will help keep you accountable and ensure that you dont become the typical new years resolution goal-setter who doesnt follow through. Dont let it become a trendy thing everyone does and fails at... Sometimes youll achieve the goal and sometimes youll fall short - but by having something specific to strive for youll have intellectual kime (focus) on your side. In Jukido Jujitsu, when you fall you always get back up. IDEAS: 1. Fix that pesky technical issue on your worst throw! 2. Commit fully to attending Nationals in 2015 and start saving in January! 3. Dedicate a specific number of open-dojo hours per month to working a weakness and another set of hours to working on an area that sparks your interest! 4. Commit strongly to making the 7 codes of Bushido something you strive to live by and not just words you memorize for a test. 5. Help the dojo grow - RECRUIT! Give back to the art and dojo you love so much. 6. Develop your knowledge beyond the bare minimum of class hours: attend open dojo training, attend special training sessions, read a few recommended martial arts books, etc. Whatever it is - take some time to think about it now, write it down (literally), and have your mindset focused on achieving your goals the first time you bow into the dojo in 2015!
