Started puppy classes with our two 4 month old malamute brother and sister, and the trainer (30 yrs training agility, nose work, therapy etc.) told me last night that I should keep the dogs separated. The female is more outgoing and independent and the male is laid back and very sweet. The trainer said that the male is weary of people and that his sister is dominating him and the only way to let his personality and confidence come out is to separate them. Not sure what I think about this as I have never heard about keeping siblings or other dogs the same age separated. If he has had enough of her he will let her know and the same goes for her. I dont know what to do at this point, is there any truth too this and if so what should I be doing?
