Started writing a book this morning that I hope will challenge men to step up and become the men they were created to be. Want a snip-it? "One of the points I want to establish right up front is contrary to popular belief failure of leadership is far more common than lack of leadership. In both instances the captain is leading; greatly at first, not so much at the end. We often think of guys like General George Patton or John Wooden as being leaders because they were vastly successful. What we fail to recognize is that Rod Marinelli was also leading when the Detroit Lions went 0-16 during their 2008 campaign. The pastor of a thriving church is leading, as is the pastor of a church that is on the verge of closing its doors. A husband who just celebrated 50 years of marriage and is still madly in love with his wife is leading, but so is the man who is stepping out on his family to pursue an extra-marital relationship with a cute co-worker. Leadership is always present. It is the quality of leadership that we need to key in on."
