Starting a new business can be scary as hell. There are times - TopicsExpress

Starting a new business can be scary as hell. There are times when I wake up and a wave of anxiety washes over me and I get to wondering what the heck we are doing. Today was not one of those days. Seeing Rita Takes and Lori Lee Kirkpatrick volunteering their time at Envision Screen Printing and Embroidery for the third day in a row was amazing. Thank you both and the countless other volunteers that have been working so hard to get the shirts done for #BobcatStrong. Someone that regularly reminds me that Im on the right course is my very good friend, John Digman. He donated the catered lunch for all volunteers from Carlos OKellys today. Digger reminds me every day that there is a community full of people that are out there that want nothing more than to help those in need. And expects nothing in return. He is one of the most giving persons I have ever met. Watching Clare from Clare Cares eat lunch with her family today flashed me back to the first day I met them. I remember sitting in their house and Clare telling me of her vision of creating one Buddy Bench for Hoover Elementary School. I sat and listened, knowing that with a little community support, she was going to exceed her wildest dreams. Today they delivered their 35 Buddy Bench to our community. When we named Resources Unite, we knew it was more than a name. It was a call to action. We envisioned a community united. Knowing that through community connection, anything could be accomplished.
