Starting at 9,000ft above sea level, ascending some 14,000ft to a summit of almost 22,000ft, then turning around to head back down, for just over 50 miles roundtrip in 12hrs 48mins... Kilian Jornet does it again, setting a new FKT up Mt Aconcagua and showing why hes without equal and the best mountain ultra runner of the world. Beating the previous official record by over 3 hours, and beating an unofficial/unproven record by more than an hour also. It is not yet known though whether he was able to beat a record that began higher up the mountain. He was attempting to break all the records in one big push.
