Starting from the end of the meal, we are having an old recipe, Texas Sheet Cake. I only put the pecans on a small amount because Lindsey doesnt like them. Texas Sheet Cake 2 c. flour 1 tsp. soda 2 c. sugar 2 sticks butter ½ c. buttermilk 4 T. cocoa 2 eggs, beaten 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 c. water 1 tsp. vanilla Mix flour & sugar. In a saucepan, put butter, cocoa and water. Bring to a rapid boil. Pout over flour/sugar mix. Add buttermilk and eggs, soda, cinnamon and vanilla. Pour in greased cake pan or deep cookie sheet. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes. Icing Make 5 min. before cake is done. 1 stick butter 4 T. cocoa 6 T. milk Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add 1 box powdered sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1 c. pecans. Beat well and spread while hot.
