Starting the excuse generator... We were concerned with a noise we heard in the left rear of the car as we pulled the bimmer off the trailer Friday eve. Looked underneath & noticed some fluid on the shock. Not much we could do at that point. Went to adjust the compression on Saturday during the event & couldnt turn the adjuster on the reservoir. Noticed more & more hop as Saturday progressed. Sundays course ran clockwise & the rear end hop was even worse. Looked at shock & fluid was puking out the shaft seal! Shaft travel was only 2. ..DEAD shock! AST rebuild time!! Good thing I know a guy that works on ASTs!! :-) Happy to hold onto 3rd place in STX! Congrats to Christy Carlson in 2nd place and Stefan Waller in 1st!
