• State Representative K. L. Brown bought a bloc of tickets to our GOP Victory Fundraiser for guests in his district. The legislative delegation will be meeting this weekend with the Alabama Business Council in Point Clear, and this will prohibit them from attending the event which will take place Friday, Aug. 16, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Oxford Civic Center. • Tobi Burt, one of the successful candidates in last year’s Calhoun County Board of Education election, also bought a bloc of tickets to the event. • Calhoun County’s elected officials with be on hand to celebrate with fellow Republicans.
