State of the Nation... by Kingsley Obiakor.! The picture is becoming more clear by the day, that the real enemy of mr. president GEJ, are those who refure to tell him the truth... those who are benefiting from his weak leadership... those who have all their children schooling abroad... those who have failed to see beyond their narrow interest.. those who can afford to fly out for medical check up... and as well people who can pay for private security around themselves. From all indication, the Nigerian ship is at stand-still right now. the economy is not doing well either.. ASUU is on strike, nobody cares to attend to them, so that our children will go back to school.. the power sector keep on falling by the day, all we hear is some useless explanations ranging from maintenance to shortage of gas supply.. Our transportation system is nothing to write home about... the 6000 buses the government promise the people after the fuel subsidy controversy is no were to be seen on our road.. Corruption is in the high increase.. Infact, the people have not seen it this bad before... the level of unemployment is something that suppose be of a concern to mr. president,,, but the direct opposite seems to be the case... the only sector that is doing well today, Is the political sector.. politics is doing well bcos the gladiators believe more on it than empowering the people, they know, there is alot to steal in public office, than the normal business,,, they have succeeded in making hard work look like child play,,, the people are fast losing hope on this project called Nigeria, since government can not guarantee what happen to them, mostly, to the so called ordinary man.. its therefore, with all honesty, I wish to call on mr. president to wake up and act fast.. his slow style of leadership has affected the economy and every aspect of our national life.. If my memory serves me right, I understand Is still two years down the road to 2015, and mr. president still have time to restore confidence back to the people, by massive infrastructure development, and most especially, to make the power sector work.. the time for action is now, the time to stand up and stamp your authority as president is now.. if you really want to come back and continue beyond 2015...
