Statement Port Talbot Christmas Lights Posted by Gareth Howells on 25/11/2014 Statement Aberavon RFC are delighted to announce that Christmas Lights will after all be brightening up both Station Road and Forge Road this Christmas following donations by both the public and businesses within the town, in particular generous donations by Gerald Sinclair of The Sinclair Group, Dennis Hughes of Genquip Ltd and Steve Redmore on behalf of the Aberavon Shopping Centre have been received to date and these have really helped boost the campaign. Together with the money raised by the two public groups (Save Our Christmas Lights/We Love Port Talbot) we are within touching distance of the target, the Council have started to erect the lights and are working towards going live on Friday 5th of December at 6pm. More to follow on this but we are delighted to have been able to pull all this together in such a short timescale and on behalf of all the children and families of Port Talbot would like to sincerely thank all who have helped and contributed.
