Statement from Rachel Gibson Hi all , hope youre well, I have been very busy with a new project and now have been offered to be a Director for the Pete Quaife Foundation petequaifefoundation working with a fabulous team - David Quaife (Brother of Pete Quaife from the kinks), Bobby Poe Jr who put MJ on stage and many more...working on a album soon to be released called Shoulder to Shoulder with legends such as Paul Weller, Steve Cradock, Geno Washington and much more.....) I am a great believer in making a difference and look forward to succeeding and growing with the team. Lately there as been much controversy between politicians within the location of Plymouth and all may have read about Cllr Casey and why she left the labour Party - The reason that Alison left is something that should be dealt with by the party and her and really not spill out into the public domain, but when people feel isolated they will do anything to get heard - I do feel that Alison felt that she was treated unfairly and sometimes we all do - but the most important thing is that people set aside their differences - no matter who you are or what you represent it is always better to resolve differences in an amicable way. I do think that sometimes things can get out of hand and people will go to extremes to prove a point to only realise that the point got lost. OPOB are not a political organisation and never will be - we are citizen journalists - people that relay information provided by those who feel that their story has not been heard - unfortunately sometimes news can hurt - sometimes news get misused. Sometimes news does not make sense. Cllr Casey and all other politicians are trying to do a job to support the community. Human nature is a odd thing, people in groups pack whilst some people get shunted out - Any good politician or community representative would not think of their own needs - they put the needs of others first. Although being human we cannot always do this - I hope that the issues in any council or party can get resolved so it does not affect the community we all have to live in - OPOB will always write the truth , it will always try and give viewers and the public a voice - But we cannot be used for those who wish to abuse others I hope all are well and I hope we can all look after one another Remember there is only one true leader and that is yourself - whatever you do lead with dignity and respect of others.
