Status Update By Pj Hruska I have been hearing conflicting reports on the status of Abe Kline. In case you saw the video that was posted before his surgery realize that the video was taken weeks ago before his surgery. I was over to see him last night so let me tell you how Abe is doing. Abe had the original surgery to cut cysts away from his spine. He did well for a couple of days but then went into multiple organ failure due to more cysts within his chest cavity. He was put on a ventilator and he also needed dialysis because his kidneys were not functioning properly. He was put into an induced coma. On Wednesday Abe was taken out of the coma and was asked if he wanted to take dialysis. He consented to take dialysis and has done better since. He also received a tracheotomy tube and a feeding tube. At this point the doctors are trying to strengthen Abe and hopefully they can construct a plan to remove the remaining cysts that have overtaken his chest cavity. I cannot say that Abe is doing well but it was nice to see him alert. He can communicate but is very hard to hear and understand. Abe has had an uphill battle his whole life. If anyone can pull through such a terrible condition Im sure it will be him. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers
