Status Update: I have not done one of these in quite a while. So, here it goes. It has been a busy summer for us! Grant was enrolled in an intensive speech therapy program for 4 weeks this June. We feel it helped him a little bit, but going to Columbus 4 days a week kind of made him lose the whole month. But in the big picture, it moved him forward. He spent a couple of weeks in July at his Aunts house playing with his cousins, which he really enjoyed. But, he is very much ready to get back to school and see his friends. He will have his next MRI on Friday and as long as it remains clear he can start going 4 months between MRIs. So much has happened to our family over the last couple of years, we finally have time to relax and be a normal family again. It is a wonderful feeling! We feel so blessed to have maintained the amazing support group that you all are! You have shared our joys and our sorrows and for that we are grateful. Grant continues to improve, at a slow and steady pace. His speech is clearer and he is very stable on his feet now. His fine motor skills are not perfect, but he is functional. We know that time will only continue to improve these things. Through the grace of God, we are blessed to have the time we need! We remain so thankful to you all, your prayers, cards, wishes, and kind words made all the difference in our journey. We would ask that you keep Grants buddy Jordan in your prayers as he is over halfway in his treatment. We would also ask that you add Grants teacher Treisa to your prayer list as she has just started her journey battling this terrible disease. Also, the countless others who are fighting the fight, we all know someone! We know that through all of our prayers, God will heal them all according to his will. As usual, we thank you for your continued prayers for our family. We will post the results of his MRI on Friday. God bless you all and we love you all!
