Status of Bojan many people asked if we can help Bojan in some way. Unfortunately there is no way to catch the animal and remove the harpoon due to many reasons some of which are additional stress to animal, logistics, lack of appropriate boats and nets etc. But one of the main reasons is the fact that animal for now looks and behaves well. From analysis of pictures we have, it seems that there is not much damage to the muscles and that most of the harpoon is lodged within connective and fat tissue. How it seems to us now, the animal will carry the harpoon for some longer period in the future but we presume that it will fall off by itself. Therefore, trying to catch the dolphin currently would present even bigger stress and problem, that Bojan does not need now. And as much as this situation is bad and the animal is injured, we are optimistic about Bojans recovery. But, it is vital that we continue to monitor its status to be able to act if situation deteriorates. Therefore, we are kindly asking you, our supporters not to forget this event, to report any sighting of Bojan and to share this information with your friends and ask them to report their sightings too.
