:::: Staying in Morocco is Better than Going Abroad for Moroccan Youth – Minister :::: Instead of thinking about emigrating abroad, Morocco’s youth should trust their country and its labor market, as it is improving in several sectors, according to the Minister of Higher Education Lahcen Daoudi, during the opening session of the Second Meeting of the Forum of Moroccan Youth Third Millennium, held In El Dakhla from December 4 through 7. During the forum, which highlights the value of immaterial capital in the southern provinces, the Minister spoke about the importance of changing the youth’s attitudes toward Morocco, saying that youth should refrain from thinking of immigration “Lahrig”, and that “The future is prosperous under the forthcoming industrial investments that will contribute to accommodating the graduate students” “These are not just meaningless words, but real promises to fulfill; what can be achieved is possible, and what cannot be achieved it is not possible.” “By the year 2017, Morocco will produce 400,000 cars, and will be then forced to produce engines, which requires students who are well trained in this domain,” the Minister of Higher Education added. The Minster also mentioned that several world universities intend to cooperate with Morocco, citing a Moroccan-Chinese scientific laboratory will soon be established, and saying that there have been talks with Germany to build a chemistry center in Casablanca. As a result, Morocco has become a global university destination and a scientific base, which will attract investments from all over the world, he claimed. The Minister further explained that the Ministry of Higher Education is attempting to create high schools that will not produce unemployed graduates.
