Steely is a four month old purebred lab pup who is looking for his forever home. Hes a very sweet boy who was just too much for his elderly owners and is now with the Luvin Labs pack waiting for just that right home. Steely specializes in being adorable and he is very excited to see what the great big world is all about. Update from Steelys foster mom: Steely is a very gentle soul. His droopy eyelids and bright green eyes are a window to his sweet personality. When you make eye contact with him, you cant help but melt. He is a large, clumsy puppy who loves to run and chase after his foster brothers and sister. He is still learning to control his body, and often trips or slides on the floor to everyones amusement. Steely would do great in a house where there is another playful dog for him to expend his energy on. Steely is currently going through his chewing stage ( Surprise! He is a Labrador puppy). He loves to eat sticks, rocks, socks, among a few things in his mouth he shouldnt be chewing on. He will need to be supervised or crated when not attended. He does well in a crate, but only lasts about 3 hours before he needs to get out and move. He is experiencing growing pains ( I mentioned he is growing fast) and needs to move around periodically. Steely would do well in a house where he goes for walks daily, but he is so large he wont do well as a jogging partner. Steely loves to follow me around curiously watching everything I do. However, he is fairly independent and can keep himself entertained. Steely is an all around great puppy that with future guidance will make a great dog. While Labrador puppies are adorable they are not right for everyone. We are extremely careful in our placement of puppies as each has special needs that includes the time commitment for training, bonding, and supervising in order to make them the best canine citizens they can become. If you are interested in meeting Steely go to luvinlabs/adopting-and-fostering/ for information on the adoption process. There you will find the online application which, when completed, can be emailed to applications@luvinlabs. Upon receipt of the application a volunteer will be in touch with you within 3 days. Should you have additional questions call (505) 362-0331.
