Stefan Salvatore was the second born child to Mary and Giuseppe Salvatore. He was born in the 1800’s, and he was a member of the original Mystic Hills Salvatore family. While his family wasn’t always the closest, Stefan considered his older brother Damon to be his best friend. Nothing could get between the two of them— not even their father. At least, nothing could get in between them except a girl. You would think that their relationship could withstand a girl getting between them, but this wasn’t any ordinary girl. Victoria was her name, and she had quite the talent in wrapping a boy right around her finger. Both boys believed she was the one for them before they even knew about the other brother desiring her. It turned out that Victoria was a vampire, and while Damon’s feelings for her were real, Stefan’s feelings were compelled. He didn’t know as a human, however, and he made the mistake of letting his father know what Victoria was. The relationship between the two boys had already begun to strain because of the vampire— who wanted both boys instead of just one— but the relationship strained even further when Giuseppe staked Victoria. They took her out of the house, and the boys followed. When they tried to save her, they were both shot down. They both had Victoria’s blood in their system, however, and were turned into vampires. Damon has never forgiven Stefan for the death of his beloved, and he promised him an eternity of misery. Of course, Damon didn’t need to make him miserable. Stefan turned out to be quite terrible at being a vampire, and he was able to make himself miserable without his brother’s help. He has never had a wonderful grasp when it came to bloodlust control. In fact, Stefan is also known as the Ripper of Monterrey. Over his immortal life time, Stefan has gone through ripper phases. He becomes violent, and he gives into the sadistic pleasure of ripping limbs from his prey. His humanity is always off, and when he comes back to his senses, he can never quite forgive himself or get over the grief. The person who has always helped bring him back his his best friend Lexi. Anytime he fell off the rails, Lexi was there to pick him back up. They weren’t always traveling together, but they kept in touch— unless he was on a ripper bender. Over the years, he also tried to fix things with Damon, but something always happened to keep it from being accomplished. Stefan is currently in another one of his ripper phases but there is still much he doesn’t know. He’s been in it for awhile, so it’s getting to be the time where Lexi comes in to save the day. She would have done it already, if it weren’t for his company— Klaus Mikaelson. He’s been traveling with the Original Vampire since the 80’s, completely unaware that they’ve met previously in the 20’s. After re-meeting Klaus, Stefan’s humanity slowly turned off. It’s been at least a decade, and Lexi is ready to fix it before matters become worse. He’s starting to feel again— starting to come back to his normal self— but it’s just what he’s come to know, and he’s not ready to face how he will feel when he turns it back on. He’s come to Mystic Hills for the first time in a very long time to help Klaus break his hybrid curse. He was shocked to discover that Damon is in town as well with Sage O’Callaghan— the woman who led them to the key to the curse, Lydia Martin. Stefan has been keeping his distance from both Damon and Lexi, but neither of them make that an easy task to accomplish. Puteti spune ca n-am dreptate ? ~Zozo~
