Step 2; We came to believe the Love of GOD, who forgave us and accepted us in spite of all that we are and have done. ***Here is a few words from Richard*** I, too, have struggled, and for a long time it was difficult to feel that God loved me. I had begged God for forgiveness and even for help to be different, but I never seemed to receive it. One day, however, I began to see some things differently. I realized that in Jesus an overwhelming victory had been won at the Cross; that Jesus had actually taken on Himself my sin and the punishment I deserved. I learned that I had a new identity in Christ, although it was hidden from me at first by my blindness. I stopped begging God and began to praise Him for my new unseen identity as a whole person. The more I looked at the positive, the more the old problem diminished. God says in the Bible, My strength is made perfect in your weakness. God isnt waiting for me to get it all together so that He can accept me. No! He is waiting for me to come to Him just as I am. Thank you, Richard P.
