Step into some history in Taal, a town in Batangas, about 100 kilometers from Manila. As one of the oldest towns in the province, it holds on to the past in a reverent way. When a road trip took me there two years ago, I actually had the pleasure of experiencing the past in full period costume and dined in actual heritage dinnerware in a dining room of a ‘bahay na bato’ as old as the country’s history.
