Step one is complete! George had the infected tissues cut out and he is temporarily sewed up. He is on a course of antibiotics and anti inflammatory medicines in order to regenerate enough healthy tissue to rebuild the crop. This process will take a couple weeks and the prognosis is a waiting game but this sweet boy is a fighter! Hopefully George will receive the reconstructive surgery in a couple weeks and be much healthier.
