Stephanie and I continue to keep those affected by Sunday’s severe weather in our thoughts and prayers. See below from the Seward County Emergency Management office if you are interested in helping with clean up: An Emergency Volunteer Center will be set up Tuesday, May 13, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. in the Old Gymnasium in Utica at 4th and F. This center will be used to register and assign any volunteers willing to assist with general cleanup following the tornado in the Beaver Crossing/Cordova area. To volunteer, you must be 19 years old to assist. For those interested in volunteering, please bring or wear the following: Government I.D. Boots or sturdy leather shoes (No tennis shoes, flip flops or sandals) Long Pants Gloves Hats Sunscreen Appropriate clothing to work outdoors If available, safety glasses and/or ear protection
