Imagine being in a H.S. class entirely composed of super-geniuss for four years - think about it - what would that be like. Sure, they could be the nicest people - never rub your lack in your face, but you would ALWAYS be one (or twenty-one) steps behind them. How would that feel? How WILL it feel when computers, which are ALREADY being touted as the answer to many problems, start to show REAL intelligence - and perfect memory at the same time. How will you feel? Ill tell you - even more powerless than you feel now. Hope and purpose will end - and theres more and worse - The smarter you are, the farther into the future you can see - and computers with their ability to hold VAST amounts of information have the raw material to see the farthest (once AI happens) - So, all our decisions will be made for us - ZERO FREEDOM. No opportunity to learn from our own mistakes. No chance for creativity. Not where I want to live.
