Stephen, Thank you for purchasing our LE system from Shintai Ryu. I was VERY impressed with your school in Glade and it made me a little homesick because I used to preach in Grand Junction often and Glenwood Springs was our second home while on the road. We have a small school in a small town on the plains in Nebraska and as a retirement career from preaching I went into law enforcement. My opinion is that in general cops are given just enough instruction in subject control to not get the department sued so I and a deputy in our county got together and devised a simplified system applied specifically to on duty confrontations. Our instruction is basic and biomechanically based. My wife is a Dr. of Physical Therapy and together we hope to help cops understand the function of what they are doing so they can apply the katas not by rote, but by principle. When I saw the level of your school I felt a little intimidated and didnt think you were looking to rank (!) but hoped rather that you might be using it to enhance training for law enforcement.
