Three killed, eight injured in an attack. Moments later, he sent me an email offering a more detailed report that proved just as shocking: Our teams were put on high alert several days ago when we learned that the jihadists were intent on continuing their terror on refugee camps, leaving no place safe for Christians and Yazidis. We increased security in and around our network of safe homes in the hopes that they would surely not harm people who were housing refugees. But there seems to be no rule of law, no sense of dignity for human life among these jihadists. We have lost more of our teams to their ruthless killings, but this has only strengthened our resolve to not let evil win. Eric also shared how the security of their Community of Hope refugee camps has never been more important. This is especially true now that his team is building their third camp, which will house 1,500 people. With 7,350 Iraqi refugees already under RUNs care -- requiring food, water, medicine and shelter -- the need for increased security is paramount.
