Steve Hensley WYMT 57 Mountain News here. Im continuing my look back at memorable stories Ive done on my 15th anniversary week at WYMT. The story today is the oldest one I will show you this week but its one Ill never forget. Its the story of Scott Butler, a young Knox County man with a terminal illness who got to see his dying wish of going to Pearl Harbor come true. It aired in May, 2001. Scott died in July, 2004 at the age of 26. The late Tony Turner also anchored this newscast. Hes the one who hired me 15 years ago and I still miss him!
