Steve Winwood is 66 years old today. Winwood is an English musician and songwriter whose genres include blue-eyed soul, R&B, rock, blues-rock, pop-rock and jazz. A multi-instrumentalist, he plays the electric organ, synthesizers, bass, drums, guitar, mandolin, violin and other strings. A star performer for nearly 50 years, he has also done notable work as a producer. In addition to his solo career, Winwood was a key member of The Spencer Davis Group, Traffic, Blind Faith and Go. Winwood now lives in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife Eugenia Crafton, a native of Trenton, Tennessee, whom he married in 1987. They have four children — Mary-Clare, Eliza, Cal and Lilly — and also own a 300-year-old manor house in the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire, England. Here, Winwood joins Eric Clapton to perform “Can’t Find My Way Home” in 2007.
