Weve all probably made note of this common semantic error before, but this article turned my cringe into a scream. Its hard to tell from reading whether the mother and infant were mere witnesses to the grandfathers heroics, or if the mother even bothered to attend this arguably significant event in the life of the mans grandaughter. Neither mother nor infant even earned a footnote! We arent even told whether the hero was the mothers father, or the fathers father -- which might weigh heavily in the process of naming the little orphan. Somebody please call the Pope, cuz this could turn out to be the biggest miracle since the birth of You Know Who!
