Stevens Top Five Favorite Zelda Games Based on Story, Inspiration and Philosophical Output (Short explanation in parenthesis): 1. Majoras Mask (Besides the peerless emotional and dark portion of the story which could win alone, I implore you all read this: zeldauniverse.net/2011/09/13/the-message-of-majoras-mask/) 2. Wind Waker (Besides the awesome but still true to Zelda tale, the game hosts a variety of subtle philosophical outlooks on everyday life. Again I recommend this, for it demonstrates one of many: zeldauniverse.net/2011/09/17/the-philosophy-of-the-wind-waker-part-one/) 3. Links Awakening (I simple story, and yet one of the most complex and delicate in the franchise, it will forever hold a small and mysterious piece of my heart.) 4. Skyward Sword (One of the strongest parts of this game is the character-driven story, and I applaud Nintendo for not only making a story that makes sense to tie many Zelda games together, but one that hosts many thought-provoking questions along with it.) 5. A Link to the Past/Twilight Princess (These games have nearly identical stories, but both are extremely important to the past and future of the franchise. Both offer in-depth lore that many games have already been built off of, and many more will be in the future.) OPINIONS ARE MY OWN (I gave Twilight Princess a spot. How crazy is that?)
