Still flying high from last night! I am SO proud of these dancers! A few facts…..some of these dancers were in my first hip hop troupe, Ydance back in 1998 as teenagers. Some of these dancers use to be on dance teams. Some of these dancers JUST started taking hip hop with me as beginners less than a year ago. Some of these dancers are aspiring professional dancers. Some are just people who love to come to hip hop class and love to perform. How amazing is that? Yes…you can put all of these dancers on ONE stage and get THIS!! You know why?? Because everyone speaks the language of dance….its just a matter of determination and hard work. Never say never! No one ever said you had to be perfect. Just like we speak different languages….we all dance our own way! Thank you so much to all of you (as Justin Timberlake would say…the dancers) for your dedication over the last 7 weeks. See……I told you that you would shine and people would cheer! And they did b/c YOU were AMAZING!! I loved every minute of it. And thanks to my The Dance District family ( Ana Ogbueze Darryl Antonio White Lisa D Wright ) for believing in me to get the job done. :-) So until the next PFO……stay in class and you will get more comfortable every week. As for all of you who WISH you could do this….YOU CAN!! Get into a choreographed hip hop class! Start learning to dance like a back up dancer!
