Still had some jet lag yesterday (Tues.) but bit the bullet and did some parks work. Bill and I installed some steps at the Sykes Road beach access trail. We have to return on Thursday to finish the job and build a kind of a retaining wall by the bench on the foreshore. Should be fun. I also have to buy a new pump so I can water plants (the old pump is dead). The rhodos are always thirsty. Today, I cut grass. It will take me awhile to catch up on the yard work. P.S. I had to cut down the Irish yew from ten feet to three. I felt like a murderer but it was getting too big for the site. :( P.S.S. On the plus side, the NZ lancewood is alive! I thought it had been winter-killed, but I see new growth at the top! Yay! :)
