Still reeling from this evenings meeting, Ive been given the honor to be a part of the committee to organize the first ever Filipino festival in Calgary(Alberta)! Its been a long time coming and its finally coming into reality. Theres a lot of work to be done but everyone is driven by passion and pride! Heres a teaser poster, the festival name might still change but the date, time and locations is set: September 5, 2015, Saturday, 9am to 9pm right in the middle of downtown Calgary at the Calgary Olympic Plaza. We hope both the Filipino community of Calgary and the entire province along with the general community at large will support this great event. This will be a massive event and we are gonna need all the help we can, to all my kapatids, kasamas, kapwa, please help in any way you can to make this the first of many more to come!
