Still reeling in from the past weekend. God made me smile & kilig big time! Was sooo excited to watch #gungor live & get a chance to meet them. Made sure i had a good spot right in front when they started playing #beautifulthings (their 1st song) WHICH WAS A HUGE MISTAKE!!! WHY?!?!? Well I got to meet Michael Gungor backstage after the show, I approached him to congratulate him & express my thanks for singing for us. The first thing he said was...& I qoute. THANK YOU...I WAS ACTUALLY LOOKING FOR YOU BEFORE WE GOT ON STAGE, I HEARD YOU SING & THOUGHT U HAD A GOOD VOICE. I WAS GONNA ASK YOU TO SING LISAS PARTS FOR BEAUTIFUL THINGS IF YOU KNEW IT (coz Lisa wasnt w/ them on this trip) ... In utter disbelief & close to peeing in my pants!!! I was like WHAAAAAT?!?!?!? WHERE WAS I?! IF I KNEW I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO SING!!! I KNOW BEAUTIFUL THINGS BY HEART!!! THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN A DREAM COME TRUE!!! ...mixed feelings of ecstatic-ness & regret (that I was in front & not backstage) came over me...at the same time felt like I was a little girl wearing a pink tutu twirling around, so flattered, humbled, blessed that Michael Gungor would even ask me to sing with him off the bat. He smiled as I just expressed by gratitude & how his music has greatly influenced & encouraged me. That experience is definitely one of my high lights of this year! What a blessing!
