Still scouring the posts looking for my friend Ubong Davids post on the visit of Gov Godswill Obot Akpabio to the city of Eket. I tried as much as I could to remember the time of the visit to no avail. But I noticed the unusual uncommon traffic in front of the LGA secretariat, the many tippers carrying sand and heading to Ibeno road, the traffic Police perssonnel on duty manning traffic at the T-junctions all spick and span, with starched uniforms and white handgloves flicking on the traffic, never had a chance to look at the boots, did not have the grace to see the uniformed personnel fight over the Naira spill at the secretariat nor did i notice youths (political stalwarts) pushed out of the venue nor either the journalist kept outside the reception hall too, but I had the chance of watching the event live on local TeeVee and, boy, did the speakers and organised hosts exhaust the dictionary for want of adjectives to qualify their august visitor? Haba, some of the adjective gave good credence to the fact that true true, some people really drank from the fountain of wisdom and knowledge and poor me, i only sipped. Can my friend splash some pix of the event while i keep facebooking?
