Intrigued by the population sizes of the four countries to advance today: Colombia (47 million) is more than twice as large as the other three combined (Greece 11m, Costa Rica 4.5m, Uruguay 3.3m). As for tomorrow, Group E has broken oddly in that France (6 points, +6) pretty much has it won already, an apparent break for its opponent, Ecuador (3 points, even). But Switzerland (3 points, -2) also catches a break in that it now plays lowly Honduras (0 points, -4); second place could come down to GD. But all that gets you is a likely date with Argentina (6 points, +2); Nigeria (4 points, +1), who plays them, should hang on for second in Group F, though Iran (1 point, -1), who plays Bosnia-Herzegovina (0 points, -2), technically still has a chance.
