Still there, no offers NEEDS RESCUE- URGENT - please read and keep sharing for Sheldon~RS if you can help Email Amy at - beougher76@yahoo I FIRST SENT OUT THIS PLEA ON JUNE 13th, & TO DATE, NOTHING. NOT A SINGLE RESCUE HAS OFFERED TO TAKE SHELDON. I HAVE BEEN DOING MY BEST TO MOVE OTHERS IN AN EFFORT TO BUY MORE TIME FOR SHELDON. HE CANT LIVE AT THE SHELTER FOREVER. PLEASE....IS THERE ANYONE THAT CAN HELP HIM? IF IT HELPS, IM WILLING TO MAKE A DONATION TOWARDS VETTING, ETC. Sheldon was left at the shelter w/ a note. We only have his name based on that not, no useful information was left. Sheldon has been at the shelter for 3-4 weeks, so we have been able to observe him. We feel he was never socialized properly, therefore has some trust issues. We dont feel comfortable adopting him out to the public & also dont want to give up on him. Sheldon is leery of his head and neck being touched. He will turn around quickly & look at you. As long as he sees you reaching for him, he seems fine. We have had him on a leash several times, he loves walks & will pull you the whole way. He likes female dogs & submissive male dogs, doesnt like playful male dogs in his space. Sheldon is an on his terms kind of dog. He needs someone that can work w/ him to make him the wonderful dog we know he can be. We believe he is very intelligent & a lot of his issues stem from the wrong owners & initial up bringing. Some of the difficulty could be from the Husky side of him too. Most of us know, they arent easy. Sheldon deserves a chance!!! Can anyone please help????? Trust me, I realize there are plenty of other dogs that are perfect & adoptable as they are. I dont believe on issuing a death sentence due to something I feel can be corrected. I have to try for Sheldons sake.
