Still watching a storm system expected to move in late Tuesday - TopicsExpress

Still watching a storm system expected to move in late Tuesday through early Wednesday. This storm has the potential to bring significant snow accumulations of 6+ where it stays all snow, south of the heavy snow band there will be an area where icing and sleet will be possible, and plain rain south of that, and some areas could see a little of everything. Exact track will mean everything! The way these systems set up - very small shifts in the track make a big difference in the forecast for any location. I will say that as of now the worst winter weather impacts will be across much of central and northern Indiana based on the current forecast track. I dont want to say southern Indiana is completely out of the woods either, but likelihood of major winter weather impacts is not as high there. Just be aware if you live in central or northern Indiana that there is potential for a fairly impactful winter storm. I will try not to post any maps for now as there is just so much uncertainty on the exact track. This storm will enter the United States out of the Pacific tomorrow, and once that does occur the data should come into a better consensus. Check back for updates!
