Stockholm syndrome is a psychological phenomenon in which the hostage is attached to his captor and feel compassion and sympathy for him, often to such an extent that to defend it and identify with it. These feelings usually considered irrational in light of the danger or risk endured by the victims who confuse lack of abuse by her captors act of kindness. FBI studies show that about 8% of the victims were found traces of Stockholm Syndrome. Stockholm syndrome can be considered as a form of traumatic bonding, where hostage scenario is not fully binding. Describes as a strong emotional connection between two parties in which one is regularly harassed, beaten, threatened, and so on. One commonly used hypothesis to explain this syndrome is based on Freuds theory.
